Our Fishing Trip

Last weekend we went off shore fishing out of Rock Port. We were supposed to leave the docks at 7 AM but the boat we were going to take didn't have any forward gears. So we had to get on a much smaller boat and it took almost an hour for them to get it ready. As soon as we were in open water there were 8 to 10 feet waves and it started raining. You have no idea what it is like out there until you are in a storm. Every few minuets there would be a huge wave coming and the captain would shut off the motor a few seconds before it crashed over the boat. Makes you feel very small and insignificant. It was so rough that I tried to take a video of it but I could not stand up and hold my camera at the same time. Next time we will check the weather! But it was worth it all. We caught our limit of red snapper in less than an hour.

It was a much better ride on the way back.
